Jeffrey C. Yuen
Moods, Temperament, Personality, & the Divergent Meridians
Plus Divergent Meridians Pulse & Treatment Practicum
January 5 - 7, 2008
On Saturday, Mr. Yuen will discuss the Divergent Meridians and their role in understanding and treating the moods, temperaments, and personalitities of our patients. The Divergent meridians are conduits of Wei Qi and Yuan Qi. As such, they play a crucial role in mediating between our reflexive and instinctive moods (Gan) in response to our outer environment and the outside world, the domain of Wei Qi, and our constitution, personality and temperament (Xing), the realm of Yuan Qi. Mr. Yuen will discuss moods, personality features, and temperaments associated with each of the six zonal pairs and the six elemental confluences of the Divergent Meridians. He also will describe how we can use the Divergent Meridians to probe and invite changes in various facets of our moods, personalities, and temperaments.
On Sunday and Monday, Mr. Yuen will help participants learn how to take, read, & interpret Divergent Meridian pulses, and then use that pulse information to perform Divergent Meridian treatments. He will demonstrate needle techniques especially designed for the Divergent Meridians. Participants may attend the Pulse and Treatment Practicum Sunday or Monday or both days. However, each day will be limited to 30 participants.
