The Importance of the Fontanelle in Treating Nervous System Conditions:

The human skull is made up of 22 bones which allow for flexibility and movement during childbirth as well as a rapidly expanding brain during childhood. At birth we have 6 fontanelles, evaluating these areas can be important indicators of nervous system imbalance. While nervous system imbalances can create a wide array of symptoms, blood pressure is one of the most reliable indicators in differentiating whether one has a sympathetic or parasympathetic issue. Correction of blood pressure imbalances as well as a wide variety of nervous system and psychiatric disorders often involves the scalp. Such disorders also frequently involve the concept of “gui” or ghosts which are thought of as a type of energy that can influence the nervous system and create physical and mental problems. In this lecture, Kiiko Matsumoto will discuss nervous system imbalances, especially blood pressure issues, and the importance of gui and the fontanelles in correcting these imbalances.
