Ayurveda and Acupuncture are the world’s most ancient systems of healing. Both these Ancient healing arts have a lot in common. Body type in Ayurveda is very unique and valuable information that helps to plan preventive care and disease management for any health care provider, especially an acupuncturist. Knowing and understanding the body types as an individual belonging to Wind type (VATA), Fire type (PITTA) and Water type (KAPHA) guides the practitioner to know possible disease patterns and how to encounter them. Learning about this special concept opens a whole new paradigm for the Acupuncture practitioners to plan Diet and nutrition, Life style, Acupuncture points and make better herbal combinations.
