Assistant Professor of Ayurvedic Medicine Wanted

The American University of Complementary Medicine is looking for qualified instructors in the Ayurvedic department.

Requirements: Doctoral Degree in Ayurvedic Medicine or Foreign Equivalent.

Job Description: Teach graduate level coursework in the clinical Doctor of Ayurvedic Medicine (Ay.D.) and scholar-practitioner Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree program in Ayurvedic Medicine including Principles of Ayurvedic Medicine, History and Philosophy of Ayurvedic Medicine, Ayurvedic Diagnosis and Constitutional Analysis, Ayurvedic Herbal Formulas, and Ayurvedic Classics. Prepare and deliver lectures to students in these courses. Compile bibliographies of specialized, independently authored materials for outside reading assignments. Prepare outlines and visual presentation materials to stimulate class discussions. Collect, administer and grade examinations. Direct the research of graduate students working for advanced degrees on Ayurvedic medicine and herbal therapy. Conduct research in Ayurvedic diagnosis and constitutional analysis and publish findings in alternative medicine and scientific journals. Maintain regularly scheduled office hours, student records, and other required records. Advise students on academic and professional curricula, and act as advisor to student organizations.

Req: Doctoral Degree in Ayurvedic Medicine or foreign equivalent. 40hr/wk.
