Gem & Stone Elixirs for Persons with Chronic Degenerative Disorders

This course is approved by the California Acupuncture Board for 22.5 Hours of Continuing Education in Category I

Gems and stones have played a major role in Classical Chinese Medicine, with descriptions of their properties outlined in the major material medicas (Ben Cao). In these texts, stones are considered living, evolving entities. More importantly, their density and solidity represent greater permanence in healing and greater stabilization in energetic intentions and therapies than do other modalities. They can also serve as chelating agents to draw out toxins from the body-mind-spirit continuum. In the first two days of this seminar, Daoist priest Dr. Jeffrey C. Yuen will discuss the creation, composition, and use of gem and stone elixirs to treat persons with chronic degenerative disorders, similar to the way most acupuncturists create and use herbal medicines with their patients. He will delineate various strategies using gems and stones in working with persons with HIV/AIDS, cancer, lupus, arthritis, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, ALS, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, among others.

On Monday, Dr. Yuen will demonstrate the clinical uses of gem and stone elixirs in treating patients or participants presenting with chronic degenerative disorders including HIV/AIDS, cancer, lupus, arthritis, and more. The practicum will be limited to 30 participants.
